What is Breast Augmentation?
Breast Augmentation is a procedure that uses implants in the breast to create a fuller look or to restore breasts that may have lost volume over the years due to weight loss or pregnancy. Today, Breast Augmentation is becoming more common due to the consistent need to look flawless and younger.
Every procedure is not the same because no two women are the same. Before you make the decision to have a Breast Augmentation you will need to consult with Dr. Pillai first. During the consultation you will go over all the problems you have encountered with your breast as well as any concerns and questions.
You need to know why you want to have Breast Augmentation surgery. You will need to discuss any drug allergies, any medical treatments performed in the past, and any drug allergies you may have. It’s important to have a list of all your current medications and include any vitamins and herbal supplements that you may be taking. If you drink alcohol, smoke or chew tobacco, or take any drugs, Dr. Pillai needs to know. Your family history will also help Dr. Pillai understand more about you and your medical background.
Dr. Pillai will view your current overall health and consider all the pre-existing conditions that may play a role in recovery from Breast Augmentation. During the examination, Dr. Pillai will measure the breast for skin quality, placement of nipples, size, and shape. You will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have and of course any treatment recommendations will also be discussed as well. Dr. Pillai will also go over the risks and complications that may occur and will discuss the anesthesia options with you for your breast augmentation procedure.
