Improve the length of your eyelashes with Latisse

Latisse, Ballantyne, Charlotte, Fort Mill, Pineville, Rock HillIf you have noticed that your eyelashes seem to be thinning out you are not alone. Because of this condition there have been much progress made with the introduction of Latisse. Latisse is a prescription product that is used to grow eyelashes to make them fuller.

Latisse is also known as Lumigan and is an eyedrop that is used to treat the eye condition known as glaucoma. It was by accident that Lumigan was associated with the growth of additional eyelashes which led to the creation of Latisse.

When applied to the lash line located on the upper eyelid, it can extend the length of your eyelashes. Latisse must be used daily in order to see a growth. You will not see any changes in your eyelashes for months as it slowly starts to grow in. It’s important to start using it and continue to use it for a period of two months before you should expect to see any difference.

As long as you use Latisse,

you will notice the longer lashes. If you do get Latisse in your eye, simply rinse your eye. It is not harmful to your eye.

There are a few potential side effects when using Latisse. These include dry eyes, red eyes, itchy eyes, skin darkening around the area where Latisse is used. You may also notice a brown tent to discoloration to the iris part of the eye. Hair growth around the eye may also be noticed if the medication drips for the application site.

Latisse may not be effective in those who suffer from alopecia areata which is a temporary hairloss condition. Talk to Dr. Pillai if you have any questions about growing and extending the eyelashes you currently have. If you have tried different options Latisse may be the only option for you.

When applying Latisse, you need to remove all your makeup first. Clean around the upper eyelid and then remove any contact lenses you may have in your eye. You can put your contact lenses back in your eyes about fifteen minutes after you complete your Latisse application. Take the single-use applicator brush that came with Latisse. Place one drop of Latisse on the applicator brush and then apply it to the base or bottom of the upper eyelid lash. You do not want to apply Latisse on the lower eye lash line or get it in the eye. You will need a fresh applicator for each application you apply.
