When it is time for your lower body lift, Dr. Pillai will use a general anesthesia or an IV sedation in order to perform the surgery. This type of surgery is outpatient surgery so you don’t have to stay in the hospital overnight however if you choose to, you can stay in the hospital overnight. Sometimes this is an option for people who do not have help at home.

Recovering from a lower body lift can take up to two or three weeks complete. You should minimize the amount of activities for the first two weeks. After that you can resume slowly until you are back to your regular routine again. Give the area time to heal before lifting, pulling, or carrying around items.
